Amal carb worries...

A friend of mine 's been having some problems with the amals on his eight porter... Can anyone recommend a good specialist i could talk to for some advise?

I have run Amals on an 8 port for some time, before switching to Weber DCOE carbs.
If you explain what the issues are it might help - are the issues running issues, mechanicals issues etc
Amal carbs are motorbike slide carbs and are tricky to make ' driveable' on an A series.

you can do a bit of self teaching by reading up on how they work and most parts are available, its just a bit of a gamble buying four sets of whichever part when theres no readily available reference to what you should be fitting.
