Protect and survive!!

Not sure under which forum header I should post this, but I think this should cover all! (excuse the pun!)
Realising that looking at the sad sight that is mini URV under a light sprinkling of snow and -7 temps, that she is indeed of need of some special 'looking after' and not having been offered a garage of any sort............
Can any one recommend the best out door cover in thieir opinion?? Good job I remembered to bring her glass water bottle in to hibernate for the winter!!
Many thanks.
Simon.

URV looks very nice indeed!
As far as true outdoor car covers are concerned, IMHO they are all crap. I have stored a couple of cars under cover outside & the cover has invariably done more damage than the weather.
If you have the space then there are a large number of outdoor type Gazebos / portable garages on the market now. These are more like big tents & while protecting your car from the weather they also let air circulate preventing the dreaded tin worm.
Rich / Guru will no doubt be able to recommend something as a leading exponent of large volume car storage under canvas.

How about one of these...

Bought an indoor version when i had a very damp concrete garage and still use it in the depths of winter in my newer drier garage
Cheers Mark.

Personally I would get one of these covers, they are great, used one on the mini that was outside. Easy enough to put on, it isn't cheap but does a good job, but on warm days the car can sweat, and on a very cold day the car can get abit damp.

Not what I was looking for, but something for you to think about.

Here's what I was thinking about, but the quality looks a bit suspect.

And another. Very similar to the Danish type.

Another UpnOver type, better quality, but supply problems.

Exterior Carcoons are very good, I kept my old 61 in one through two winters, southern lightweight winters to be fair, but we did have some snow, and it kept the car very dry, they are not cheap though.
They are a bit of a pain if the car is in daily use, but fine for a weekend car.

I agree woith Mark. All I found with covers is that the movement in the wind slowly wears the paint away, and they never stay dry.

Ive been using one of these...

Its the first winter ive had it on so its hard to comment on how protective it is, but the quality and fit is very good and everytime ive taken the cover off the car has been dry and clean.
