Servo leaks

Has anyone experienced a problem with a Mk1 S servo that leaks brake fluid through its air valve cover? What causes this? I've swapped that whole assembly, including the diaphragm with a NOS one and still it leaks out of there. I want to take my servo in for repairs but it would be useful to be able to tell them what to check.

Abri, is this why the S is smoking? Is there brake fluid getting sucked into the inlet manifold? White smoke vs blueish smoke which is usually oil. I had that problem on one of my Cooper S's.

@ Leon: It is one of the problems. I did run it with a disconnected servo hose and it smoked, so unfortunately the servo is not the only problem. There is something strange going on with this servo. When you put your foot on the brake pedal at a traffic light you can feel it pulsing. It has sucked in some brake fluid (only twice), releasing a large cloud of white smoke.

My white smoke incident was on the freeway on a Mini road trip to the Drakensberg. The smoke was so dense all the cars behind me disappeared from view completely  Scary, embarrasing and  at the same time. Never experienced the pulsing you talk of.
