I have fitted a new pair of 5" rubber steering rack gaitiors which were sold complete with the large and small circular clips, filled up the rack with 90's oil as recommended and tightened up the clips, unfortunately oil is weeping out of the large end of both gaitors .
I have not fitted the rack back on my car yet as I need to be sure the gaitior ends are oil tight.
Any advice please on why this is happening and how to solve this problem?

Re: ADVICE PLEASE-LEAKING STEERING RACK GAITORS
I use a bit of Permatex (which I think is now Loctite) No. 3 Gasket Sealer on the rack ends before sliding the Gaitors over.
Also, over tightening the clips can also cause the Gaiters to pucker up a little and that will make them leak.
