I found this rear pocket inserts in a 1960 LHD Austin Mini.
Never saw this before. Is it period or original?
Thanks

They were an early/mid 60's aftermarket thing called a 'T.G Mini-Tidy' , usually seen in the door pockets. Like smokers, quite a rare and endangered species nowadays!

We should start a new thread on the lesser known Mini accessories. 'MEG' that I sold to James P also had full length padded arm rests ( no ashtrays though ) in the door pockets which did have a makers stamp on the ply underside but I couldn't make it out . I 've never seen a contemporary ad for those.
