Door seals - again !

Post by Andrew1967 »

Looking to get some new door seals for my pick up.

Which is considered the best (apart from originals of course), Mini Spares or Phoenix Trim or...... ?

Cheers

I can get the door shut with an older but unused mk1 profile repro seal but the door sits out at the rear a bit.

Keen to keep correct profile seal if possible. Is the new Mini Spares seal of same size profile as the original ?

Rich, can you help :)

the new minispares ones are really nice, but a little soft, so you have to glue them on

tim sells a really nice 'late van' one that has a textured bit (so doesn't look right) but has a plastic liner that really nips onto the frame - so is ideal on stuff like GTMs

my racer and the 'er' use the std minispares ones with no issues (apart from on the 'er' they wont grip the shiny vinyl that has been put on the a and b pillers so I had to stick them on with tiger seal.

im going to retro fit it with a pair of tims
should you wish, you can contact me on rich@minispares.com
