Early speedo parts

Odometer stopped working. Upon disassembly I found the spring clip that holds the worm gear shaft to the eccentric lever is worn and won't stay in place. Does anyone know where I can source an unworn clip like the one on the left in the example photo? Or does anyone have experience replacing the original clip with an "E" clip? Appears to be approximately 1/16 inch. Pay no attention to the plastic bits, found the photo on the Internet.
