Now then folks

My bonnet has cracked on the lip of the back of the bonnet (underneath wind screen) and also half way along one of the wings...

Has anyone successfully repaired their own using fibreglass? I was thinking of setting in some aluminium angle strips into it but wondered if it was over kill?

Thanks

I would have thought that you would be better trying to form a small (mini? :) )box section using cardboard or expanded foam as a former rather than metal......provided you've got the space.

Are you trying to avoid painting.if not why not mig weld it ,putting a small metal plate at the back..remove bonnet and take to a body shop if you don't have a mig .I recon its a £25 job ,unless in London then£250 :D
