850 Thrust Washers

I'm in the process of rebuilding my engine and swapping the crank from the early small tail with a wet primary gear to a later one with a dry primary gear.
There was noticeable slack in the thrusts in the original crank and in the engine I've robbed the crank from, LOTS of slack.. Looking this morning it seems that oversize thrust washers are obsolete.
How do people get round this with 850s? Or is the case for the 1098 building?
