Hi all, so here is my 69 850 restoration project. I have acquired the car from a local guy who abandoned the car in his garage for 10 years. it used to be owned by the maltese police force as I got to know through this good forum and the local authority.
at first I didn't think the car was THAT bad but after I removed the engine, subframes, and stripped the car down, found out that this is going to be quite a project.
I first took the car to be soda blasted, and the guy did do a good job. got it back to my garage in the meantime we replacing panels and cutting off rust.
at the moment we are currently installing the doors, and before we fit the A panels we want to 100%align the door to the door frame.
any idea if this is a good fit or not? as I don't have the rubber seals of the doors..

found a pic what it looked like back in the days...what I found out from reading through old contracts is that the car was bought in 69, and it was originally sandy beige...they then sprayed it blue for the police colour, and then painted it red for some reason and left it rott with loads of hard metal !
