Goodwood #73MM

This meeting looks to eclipse last year's, though it's doubtful I'll be there, it looks like it'll be a cracker. Reading the website the Sopwith Trophy for 50's saloons lists Minis! That'll be a first to see 850's racing, but I strongly suspect it's a mistake.
https://grrc.goodwood.com/section/membe ... 1424785954
"Fitting then that the race bearing his name at the 73rd Members’ Meeting will see a field of Fifties saloons take to our beloved section of West Sussex tarmac. Think Austin A50s, Jaguar Mk1s,
Minis, Ford Zephyrs and the like all being hurled around, door-handle-to-door-handle"
Also nice to see Anita Taylor's brother Trevor (who also raced the Aurora Minis and the 1071 engined Aurora BMC sports prototype) has been posthumously honoured with an FJ race dedicated to him:
"Named after former Lotus Grand Prix driver and team mate of Jim Clark, Trevor Taylor, the Taylor Trophy will be contested by rear-engined, drum-braked Formula Junior cars.
Famously credited with inventing the yellow stripe which ran down the middle of so many Lotus racing cars, Taylor was the son of a Rotherham garage owner who tied with Jim Clark for the 1960 Formula Junior Championship before moving on to Grand Prix racing. Expect to witness the likes of Lotus 18s, Cooper T52s and perhaps the odd Stanguellini screaming around the circuit"

Got my tickets for the Sunday.
My son and I have been busy buying vintage clothes to blend in!
Going in the Mini too. 160 mile round trip
Hope it's nice weather.
Are there any members of the GRRC who are not going as I am not a member and can't park on the Lavant Bank, passes for classic vehicles are only at this stage available to members.
Wondered if anyone could get one for me.
Steve

Or just get a flight into Southampton airport and hop on a train to Chichester at the station that's right next door, I've not looked at the time tables to do this though.
Last year was great, with brilliant weather, looking forward to it again this year but might just take a normal car and park it in the car park rather than get a £30 pass to have it in the circuit

cor
it would be cracking to see a couple of datapost metros and some computervison ones rubbing paint with swiftys longman 1275gt
I think letting metros race at goodwood, would probably have most of the goodwood members reaching for the Basildon bond though

The weekend is nearly upon us!
Plenty to look forward to, but really wish the FIA Minis were out and that there was at least one Ferrari entered in the Graham Hill Trophy.
Full entry list is here:

Obviously looking forward to seeing this too

Gerry Marshall Trophy , great fun! Nick terrorising the Camaro finished a fine 3rd.
(and got very excited in the process!
) Glyn nearly ended up wearing a BMW but did well to avoid it.
