Engine Stand Adapter

I'm nervous about hanging the whole engine/gearbox assembly from just the two dynamo/alternator bolt holes so I bought this adapter for my Draper stand from JB Fabrications on eBay. It'll fit any stand with a 60mm diameter pivot.
I think it's a bit overpriced but it works a treat.

£30 quid - over priced - give the guy a chance he's had to make the bloody thing and paint it , needs to fuel the ferrari of course- does it work though ?

Looks a lot more secure than hanging your engine from 2 bolt holes - i think id be worried as well - Are you coming to Blyton - Birdys gonna be there

Didn't mean to be insulting about the price but I think my whole engine stand was only 70 quid although that's mass produced in Asia. Perhaps it's the £10 delivery that's OTT.

I'm all booked for the Saturday at Blyton. Hoping Mr Bird will be pleased with what I've done with his car.
(At least he should appreciate the high quality lexan glazing from a very reputable supplier)

You could quite easily hang the WHOLE CAR off ONE 5/16" bolt...

i bought one of these recently as it was suitable for a and aplus, whereas my adapted original only works on a plus.
its a bit flexy compared to the standard fitting and the holes for the handle needed taking out a good chunk to fit the handle from my Clarke engine stand.
other than these minor points much easier than messing about making one myself.
