working on new Mini racing book, need help, please!

Hi all!

After a first book on Racing Mini published in 2008 (french only, i known...), and one about the french rival R8 Gordini (just published), i m again on Mini.
It will be mainly a picture book with big captions. i've found a lot of new pics of French races but i will allow at least half of the book to the british races.
There will be small chapters about british teams too...

So im looking for photos of Cooper Car Co, Alexander, Broadspeed, Vita, Downton, Janspeed, Newtune, Arden, Britax and so... and so....

I you have photos who are sleeping, I need your Help!

As you know Enguerrand I've a large collecion of photos but no use to you without the consent of the copyright holders,aren't you better off going straight to the various photographers / agents, Ferret, L.A.C, Hayward, Magee, Klein, Bryce... etc ? I've done this quite successfully without being charged. 'Motorgraphs' were a waste of time though.

Hayward is not cheap and asked me money three years ago... so not a single Hayward pics in the previous book...
The publisher did not allow great money to that. But Ferret is probably a good option... PM, Pete.

In short Enguerrand I'd be careful printing any photos in a book you haven't got the owner's consent for (and when I say the owner I mean the copyright owner). When I've asked to use pics in the past (MCR mag) they are usually perfectly obliging if they get a credit as they understand that for them publicity equals sales. Some however will want the folding stuff for use of their images and it's up to you if you want to pay them, I told Klein where to stick 'em for instance.

Pete, of course, i m well aware with photo copyrights... and what you can do or not with a book... That's why, i am asking if ther is not BMC copy free or personnal pics in the archives...
