it is not MK1 mini, but at least it is from MK1 mini period. ;) i hope you will like it.
that is my wifes MK2 Elf. after five years of waiting, project started to go on.

i know that car from 2002 when it was imported to my Slovenia. it was not on the road for many years and owner with huge collection of british car did not have interested to restore it any more, so i bought it for my wife or collection.
that was photo when i saw it for the first time.

Good to see it's making progress! Was fun driving across Europe with a rear valance flapping about strapped to my Mini's roof!

What a fantastic project Gregor!

Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

I don't imagine Minis are too common in Slovenia, but you seem to have a lovely collection, that anyone here in the UK would be proud of.

Thank you Mark!
Minis in Slovenia were always very popular, but not many left this days. i have in my data 200 minis, but this is the only Riley Elf.

here are photos from last week.
it is slow progress, because i try to do work by my self as much as it is possible.

i felt big pain during the cuting the Elf :? .
Image

Image

i did not expect so much rust :-(
Image

here is my question. is this correct position of outer sill?
Image

next question:
does any one has a photo how it looks when the sill and bracket are welded together?
Image

and some more cuting on RH side.
Image

i do not understand why on the earth would any one distroy inner wing because of not be able to change brake hose?
