Anybody able to suggest the correct type of grease when rebuilding a Lucas DR2 wiper motor? Cheers. Mark

As far as I can tell, the factory used something hard and dry akin to wax - but maybe that's just the effects of 50 odd years of evaporation.
For jobs like that I use white lithium grease. You can get it in a spray, but I have a little pot of it that is a bit thicker, which is good.

Thanks Tim. My googling suggests the same. Zinc oxide waterproof marine stuff seems to be the gear. Appreciate your input. Cheers. Mark

I recently took the wiper motor and rack out of my car and used this product when putting everything back together.
