Was raking in back of garage. for some reason all the mk1 bonnet hinges are the same hand, ie the captive screws are on the same side. Were they all the same or were they sided?

Yup, they are sided going by AKM2. It's too cold to venture outside.

So far I have 4 all the same, which was what was confusing me and going by the colours, I can't work out where one came from.

Right you are Sir,I'll just go and stand in the corner especially seeing as I fitted the bonnet to my Estate on the 26th.

Looked at my 1960 Austin 850 and shows nuts to the inside also. Bonnet may not fit well if otherwise.
Bracket stampings themselves are not handed (at least not mine). The direction of the captive nuts determine handedness. You could change one by removing the captive screws and placing them in the other direction. Not sure this would be easy though; it appears that the screws were resistance welded in which case the screws would be difficult to remove without destroying them. Making screws shouldn't be difficult then weld/braze in right direction.

Nuts do face inwards and the fitting to the bulkhead there should be two thin brass washers a bit fiddly but you must fit them,

A bit of thin double sided tape (each) works well for these. Just punch the bolt through the tape once the hinge has been slid into place...... Later Oz car use a kind of white plastic instead of brass..
