Pop the wipers off with a swift tug and move them round one spline. Can't help with the rest I'm afraid!

I doubt there ever was a fuel filter other than the screens in the pump outlet.

On a 68 Cooper S seat belts would have been fitted as standard.

1967 New cars in the UK must be fitted with front seat belts by law. Great Britain requires 3-points in front outboard positions.

1968 Great Britain requires retrofit of 3-point belts in front of newer cars.

BMC fitted either Kangol (alloy buckle) or Britax (plastic buckle) 3 point fixed belts.

Similar to these;

Correct Kangol buckle (wrong webbing)

Correct Britax buckle

The plastic britax was the most common.

Inertia reels like this;

But were uncommon.
