oil pressure light colour on speedo

Here's another question about early Mini's

I have a 5 digit silver face speedo in the garage with a green jewel for the oil light. The replacement 6 digit silver face speedo in my '60 has the more usual yellow jewel.

When did the green jewel change to yellow - was it when they went from 5 to 6 digit odometers ?

Cheers

Andrew

Probably, yes.

But they would have to change once the Mk 2 came out with the indicators requiring two green jewels for left and right in the clock.

Thanks for your reply Woodypup :)

Anyone else able to help ?

Just noticed that the older speedo has a red main beam light jewel :?

Anyone able to confirm what a Nov 60 build car should have speedo wise, please ?

I know it should be a 5 digit odometer but what colour should the oil pressure and high beam jewels be ?

I have several silver face speedos and want to fit the correct one in my car. The original was replaced in the late 60's with a 6 digit odometer speedo.

Thanks

Andrew
