66mm.

I don't have a set of scales, but they are light. Compared to my old JAPs, they seem quite heavy. I am hazarding a guess at aloominum. I'm going to blast them off and have a go at gold chromating them.

the old minilifes took a 67mm cap, so your not too far off!


the alloy versions weigh @ 3.8kg

ive no data on the mag ones (which where mega rare) as they have been out of stock for so long


if you blast them with really coarse grit and coat them right they will look just like old mag wheels, its a trick a few people do!

I think an oxide layer by either anodising or chromating is the way to go. These have been powder coated (the other 4) and it's tracked underneath. I can't tolerate lifting paint on alloy.

I'd say they are about 3.8kg

Keep in mind that anodizing on castings may not be as uniform as you want and anodizing a blasted surface may also produce strange appearances. Glass bead blasting (with larger beads) may help create a more gently textured uniform surface. Bead blasting will also close off some of the pores in the alloy to help keep them clean looking but you still may want to clear coat the wheels to seal them and retain that nice, new finish.
