Can anyone identify a change date in the rear brake back plate
from having 2 small pressed bumps to having a roll pin locating the wheel cylinder.
My car has one of each type.
Just wondering...

Possibly '64 when they changed to twin leading shoe front brakes, which meant that all cylinder sizes changed.

To prevent assymetric braking by the subsequent fitting of wrong wheel cyls, the roll pin was introduced.
