just wondering whether anyone knows if the stencilled MOWOG logo should be painted on the front subframe of a late Mk2 cooper s. I know it won't be seen, but want to get the detail right regardless.
many thanks for your expert opinions

My mk2 is late 68 and has the MOWOG, that probably wont help you much though as its not a late mk2!

Late enough for me! I do like the idea of it and it's a great graphic....
Apparently there was no system to the later cars. Could be upside down, could be off centre......
Do you know where yours is? And presumably in yellow not white like the early cars?
Many thanks.
Adam

Hi, I have an original 69 Mk2 Cooper 998. When I dismantled it there was a yellow upside down MOWOG stencil on the front beam facing the back of the front panel (in the area forward of the oil filter housing) Hope this helps you. Mark

seen that blog thanks, and written to ricardo requesting a template / stencil. it was reading the blog that got me wondering whether a late mk2 would have the same, as ricardo's car is a fairly early mk1.
i'm going for it anyway, just cos i like the graphic, and knowing it won't be seen!
photos would be great.

would love a picture thanks Callum. i have asked the chap coordinating my restoration whether there is any evidence on my subframe, but it was in quite bad nick so not too hopeful.
thanks again

Sorry Adam forgot I had taken this picture.
