I have bought a load of bits recently and included are a set of conrods and pistons, they have had 1071 written on one piston but
the casting numbers are really worn.

Anyone know any other way i can check if they are 1071? will post a pic on here tonight

There was also a S crank aeg171 which I understand is also 1071 so Im hopefully the rods are also

1071 and 1275 rods are the same. If you measure the length of them you can easily exclude the fact if they are 970 ones.

I guess others could help, but if not I'll measure the 970/1071 ones I've got this weekend.

AEG 177 conrods can be 1071 or 970. the 970 conrods are 5.875 centres and the 1071s are 5.75 centres.
