A tad self indulgent but I would like to share with u...It made me smile seeing my beautiful daughter getting in and out of the back seat of my mini (Dad was the wedding car driver )...from hotel to the All Saints church in Clayton Le Moors and back again with new hubby last Saturday !!..A fantastic and memorable weekend at the Dunkenhalgh Mercure Country Hotel only 5 mins from the church....the wedding dinner was 1st class as was the eve buffet and party...we all danced away the night till 00 45 !!!..catering for 168 people the staff and management did a great job without any hitches.....I would wholeheartedly rec any of the Lancs area members to use their facilities,.if in the future they ever have weddings for daughters to help plan for ??!!.oh and a 450 mile round trip from North Norfolk for the ol girl !! the S that is lol.... !!!. A very proud Dad..foxy52.....

My local mini club often have requests for the use of Classic Minis as wedding transport. I've "moved" bridesmaids and fathers, but no brides as yet.

Glad to hear the wedding day went well.

...Tks guys for yr comments.. yes its great to be able to use the mini on an occasion like this.. one of her uncles commented to me having bought a blue clubman in 1971 only to have had it stolen the same year.!!!!..he wished he still had a classic mini...... my younger daughter will use my S also come the day ..it knocks any hire car into a cocked hat I reckon !!!...an iconic English car for a classic English wedding...cheers guys... foxy52

Great picture Foxy,I took my sister to her wedding last year in my MKII with a MKI,MKII Elf and an RSP as bridesmaids cars.It was all going great until the Elf cut out outside the church and refused to start :D all part of playing with classic cars.

...not wrong there java.. I did 450 miles round trip norfolk-lincs-notts-yorks-lancs and back at about 65-70...a tad tiring and noisy but..!!! great fun...I recently had the clutch cyl changed, new fluid and other sundry bits along with an oil filter change and new oil.. I then realised the filter had been in since 2008 !!!...lol...the only but only prob I ever get on odd occasions is the starter motor/gear jamming ..no probs I just rock it back and forth in 3rd and click !!! it releases and then starts first time ..anyone any ideas for a quick fix????....apart from that it has the heart of a lion engine wise !!!..rgds foxy52..

I am sure you will ;) as long as you take care of your self, the same way you take care of your car :)
