Dear all

As part of my refurb, we are replacing the boot floor. The old one did not have a spare wheel bracket and initial research suggests that there was never one fitted to late mk2s.

Can anyone verify this fact.

Late MK2's didn't have the spare wheel clamp thingy.

Funny that as my early Mk3 has one and so does my Mk2 and there both standard models.

Neither of my mk2s had one. Believe they both had original boot floors. They where both austins, maybe it's a Morris thing?

They're no different, all built at Longbridge and the clamp was deleted in about March '68.

Mk3's August '70 and the Mk2's September '68, both of 'em i'm the second owner from new. Neither of them had any work in the boot, prior to my ownership. Well one of 'em still hasn't.

As with ALL these change points there are exceptions to any rule.
