"The Early Years"

Post by LMM76C »

Peter Robinson's latest work on the MN Championship, "Memory Lanes - The Early Years" has already been mentioned elsewhere.
Ex-works cars that feature include of course Rob Lawrence's JMO969D and Geoff Grundy's ORX77F.
Borrowed works cars mentioned are:
GRX311D, used by Hopkirk on the 1966 Shenstone Rally, in much the state it came back from the Alpine. His works co-driver Ron Crellin was Clerk of the Course for the Shenstone and secured PH as an entry (with Richard Harper as navigator).
GRX195D, used by Fall on the 1967 Filldike Rally and said to have had no work done at Abingdon since the Flowers and been re-prepared by Fall himself, presumably at Appleyards.

Peter is now working on the final tome: "Memory Lanes - The Beginning", covering 1961 - 1965. If anyone has any data whatsoever on those years, please let Peter Robinson have it, so we can all learn from it.
