Just about to put these back together and wondering if it is OK to use fine grade of wet and dry to 'tidy up' the chambers for the pistons, recesses for seals? If so, what grade? Any help appreciated.
Cheers, Niall.

There is nothing particularly sensitive in there, the most important thing is to make sure its clean, I usually blast them using glass beads, but 120 wet & dry would be fine too.

I agree with Mark. Additionally, I use a dental pick to clean out the bottom of the recesses. The old seals can leave quite a bit of rubber behind.

I've always bead blasted them as per Mark, and that is wonderful. However, acid dipping is the new bead blasting. Everything get absolutely fantasticly spotless.

In hindsight 120 wet n dry sounds pretty coarse, is that right? Also what grade for the mating surfaces on each half of the calliper?
