I have a later MPi? cylinder head with no sender. I currently have to use a thermostat housing with a sender hole drilled/tapped and this configuration means it is unfeasibly tight and hits the rocker cover. What other options do I have folks?

There is a thermostat housing which has the sender in the top instead of the side, poss morris minor?

If the thermostat housing route doesn't work, then another option is to drill and tap the head, we have done many of them here and with care, magnets and a vacuum, it can be done 'in car' but only on a round front, rather difficult to get the drill in there on a Clubbie or a Moke.
