Very nice, thank you Broadspeed
The 6th pic down (of XFX) looks so period - Just make it B+W and it could be 1964 all over again!!

Speaking to this guy; his motor alone cost £50,000 !

Just to show nothing's changed with Mini/Ford battles at Mallory's Hairpin.......
Any idea who owns the Mini 185 at Mallory hairpin ?? Cheers

The name on the wing Russ is 'Team Broadspeed' and the driver's Ian McDougal, 1965 as I remember. Got a very similar shot of Phil Derbyshire's Mini stuffed into the side of another Anglia at the hairpin too !

Ah well I suppose I should have realised the colour of the Mini is the give away. How standard these cars look, the Anglia might just have been borrowed from the showroom for the Saturday afternoon, back on sale Monday morning, "never rallied or raced governor!". Where are all the Anglia's in current day racing, oops shouldn't really be saying that here.

Thanks for the info Guys. I new it was a "Team Broadspeed" car but it was the driver I was interested in. I never knew that Ian Mc Dougal drove a Broadspeed car. Does anyone have a nice colour picture of a "Team Broadspeed" car that i could purchase ??.

You'll do well to even find any colour images of Broadspeed Minis, I do have some but as ever they're permanently 'on loan' and snappers do (understandably) get quite snappy about their snaps being shared.
Try saying that after a couple of 'cheeky Vimtos'

Hi Surf 1275,
Yes! you are right, i have tried all the guys that sell photos at the shows for a couple of years now to no avail.
What do you mean by permanant loan? is it a photographers terminology ? I dont want to share, I would like to buy.
Is the answer no chance.?.
Thanks for the info anyway.

I lend large sets of photos from various photographers / agencies to print in the MCR mag every month so they're not mine to share or sell. There's quite a few people I can put you in contact with though who will sell you nice monochrome shots like the one of Fitz on this page ...

Rolled it into a ball shortly after

Hey , I'm quite getting into this B/W stuff all of a sudden. It's difficult to pick a bit of track that doesn't have armco, rumble strips or fencing though
Same place as Mini v Anglia earlier
Sharp eyed will notice my posh camera mount on the cage : Exhaust U clamp, s/h Alternator adjusting bracket ; 57p
PS to Earnshaw senior (herinafter to be known as Uncle Rover I think - see pics on Racepics site of our deluded turncoat hero. I bet the radio only played the Home Service) : there were 3 Anglias out in the HSCC finals

Here it is
Yes! the Home Service with memories of Sunday lunch, yorkshire pudding and onion gravy, Jean Metcalfe and two way family favourites as I hauled Aunty Rover slowly around Mallory, that was until it inexplicably stopped only to start again ten minutes later without a problem. Has a mind of its own you know, quite unseemly to be thrashed hard particularly on a Sunday.
enjoy
