I'm new here on this forum.
A few wheeks ago I found a '64 Austin seven (yes that's correct, a seven, outside the UK they were sold as seven) for sale over here in Belgium and went looking at it.
What I found was an unbielivable hard one. As far as I can tell for now it looks like all panels are original. 1 wing looks like it had an accident in the past and is repared and only 1 a-panel needs replacing. The odd thing is it has a morris speedo showing 14.6k km which could be original looking at the body. When I have it at home I'll take the head of and check the engine.
Original it was painted green or grey but someone gave it a bad paintjob in white with black roof.

There is some evidence it could have been used as a competition or rally car.

The seller had it stored for 22 years in a dry garage and has lost the papers of the car but I found a way to get it back on the road and for now it has to stay at the sellers place until that's solved.

Don't know yet what I'll do with it, return it to original or keep it as it is, depends on what I can find out about the history.

That looks like a brilliant find What are the competition bits? I can see a map light, extra wiring for things?

Looks like there has been a trip meter, some evidence left of a dash, hookcatches for rubber bonnet hooks still precent and original bonnet catch removed, extra horns in engine bay, trumpet on carb, freeflow exhaust manifold, center exhaust, 3 of the tyres are rallytyres, wiring for auxillary driving lights in engine bay (and holes in bumperlid).

I'm going to take some extra pictures next week and see if there has been a sumpguard fitted, forgot to check that.

I tried to contact a former owner who had the car for some months without using it. He did competition in the '90's and it's possible he stripped some parts to use in his mini.
At this day I had no responce yet of him.
