of all the minis to steal and try and make a quick get-a-way, a mark 2 auto must be pretty low down on the list!

Thats what I thought, not ideal for a quick getaway....maybe they lifted it onto a lorry but it was said to be on a driveway.
However after a similar recent Mini theft reported on TMF from a driveway overnight (while the owner slept), the rear window was found left laying in garden nearby....the thieves had cut the rubber seal removed the rear glass, climbed in and pushed the Mini silently down the road round a corner to hot wire or load onto a waiting truck....
