Unusual Austin Badge
I have recently found this Austin badge, which is not like any other I have seen before, it's about 6 inches long & has the part number: CZK 6314. Please can anyone help me to identify it? I'm thinking possibly BL Australia.
Many thanks, Rich.

1.3 Marina coupe's had an S type distributor on them no vac advance
I have seen both types of distributor ones that take the same points as an S would, and the later type points without the securing nut.

Re: Unusual Austin Badge
I didn't even know there was an Austin Marina, thought they were all Morris's?
As for the GT, never seen that either, thought TC was their flagship sporting an 18V MGB engine.
I think despite not knowing much about Marinas, I still know too much. Piano anyone?
I enjoy Surf's photos usually, I'm guessing he only snapped this one as it was badged as an Austin? Respect still in tact.

I think they were sold as Austins in the USA and Canada, althought I might be wrong.

Re: Unusual Austin Badge
An Austin Marina came up on eBay a few years ago, it was brand new with delivery miles only and with the optional air conditioning pack in the boot! It was from a closed dealership that the owner had not bothered to dispose of the old stock and had just shoved it into storage, I almost bought it but missed out on a last second bid! I really can't remember what it sold for at the time but it would have been daft cheap if I was bidding on it........................after all it was a bloody Marina.morris-miner wrote:I think they were sold as Austins in the USA and Canada, althought I might be wrong.

Re: Unusual Austin Badge
I can understand this if it was the Austin Marina GT, because the GT badge on the boot is the same as fitted to the grille of the early Mini Clubman 1275 GT & buying the badge with a Marina attached to it can be cheaper than buying the badge on it's own.
