Anybody able to recommend the best type of adhesive for sticking wheel arch trims, dash vinyl etc on? Sometimes found ones in the past are not that good. Cheers. Mark

Hmm, a subject close to my heart.
There are some sections of the dash vinyl on my Woody that are coming unstuck which is very annoying considering how careful I was putting the vinyl on.
There was / is a topic on here which prompted me to buy the "Wurth" spray adhesive because it had good reviews. I didn't use the adhesive that came with the Kit from Newtons.
I've no idea why the "Wurth" glue is failing. Maybe I did something which is causing the "unglueing".

A few weeks ago whilst in Wickes I bought a tube of their strong contact adhesive and have since set about trying to repair the unstuck vinyl and so far, so good.
It may not be suitable for larger areas of vinyl because of the uneven coverage, whereas, with the spray on type you get an even spread / layer of adhesive.

I always use 3M super interior trim adhesive, if you apply exactly as the instructions say it will stick forever! but it's a true contact adhesive so you need to get it right 1st time and no I don't always get it right and it's a pain in the bum to clean it all off and then reapply but as I said once it's on it's a good'un

Yep, lots of my dash vinyl is now peeling off a few years later and it doesn't even feel that sticky underneath - I think I used Evostick originally

We use 3M 08080 trim adhesive professionally all the time in F1 and other forms of motorsport applications see (http://www.pro-seat.co.uk)
Never had a problem in all conditions and all temperatures.
It's costly at around £20.00GBP per can but use sparingly & exactly as it says in the instructions and you will be OK (do not apply too much, just a spiders web to both surfaces and let it dry a little 'till its white and not sticky to the touch) it can be repositioned for about 5 minutes if you do not apply too much pressure. Try a test first to see the results.

We really have tried everything over the past 24 years and nothing anywhere in the world comes close to this adhesive.
