Nice extract in the current Autosport from John Surtees' book about his 2 and 4 wheel exploits in 1960.

Whats that car next to the Cooper T51 ? Nice number plate by the looks of it.

He also had a 997 Cooper. Lots of F1 drivers had Minis, Moss, Parkes, Hulme, McLaren,Brabham, don't think Jim Clark was allowed !

I'll post up Surtees' Cooper when I get a minute.
