Thanks Ollie, it must be quite common with the wings then, will be an easy fix for you.

I remembered that yours had cracked, I think I should of added a spreader plate inside the crossmember like you did also, maybe I still will.

Your build thread has been my biggest reference whilst working through mine, it's funny that I have passed you now, will have to figure the rest out for myself :D

You are to be congratulated on your progress so far,I have read this and Ollies thread many times as I study how to tackle my MKI in the garage.I am slowly buying all the panels for it but the sterling/euro exchange has made it even more expensive at the moment.Looking forward to the next instalment of progress.

Started on changing the indicator plinths back to original. Didn't realise m machine made the smaller ones until recently, at first i thought i would have to leave it with the larger ones.

Got the passenger side in tonight

Is that a repair panel from M- Machine for the smaller indicators ? or do you have to buy a complete front panel ?

It's a repair panel, the 2nd picture shows the repair panel tacked in, the last picture shows it fully welded

Didnt know later plinths were larger! when did they change over?

Oh and i must say, the panel gaps you're getting satisfy me more than they probably should.

Thanks very much, I have only recently found out about the different sizes myself so I'm not sure when they changed to the large one?

No problem Ian, I think it is relatively new, not sure if it's in their catalogue?

Cheers for the comments. Not had much to update really due to work and holidays but getting back to it again now. I had a load of parts acid dipped at the start of the month. Very happy with how it all came back, the bonnet and bootlid dont need any repairs, the doors are still on their original skins and only the driver's side needs a couple of small patches so chuffed with them.

I spent today playing with the drivers door and it fits quite nice now, had to add some weld then file it back where there latch comes through the door as i think the latch is worn and sloppy meaning the door would pop out slightly when shut

The gaps need sorting now which is the next job but the door tucks in nice on the bottom corner.

You've done a lovely job of letting in those smaller indicator perches. The scuttle gaps are purdy as well.

Are the ATS Classics going on?

Wow, Callum. You really are doing an incredible job of this car. I have seem this post and didn't realise it was you until I just spotted my old doors. They really are exceptional. Good luck. Will it be in colour and ready for Beaulieu in a fortnight?? Cheers. Mark

What width are they?

I've got a set for 5x10's my estate, you can just about get away without running arches but it really depends on my style you're going for.
