just need to weld in some new floors, without rust first, so there is something to lift on
In the beginning we had the axle stands, on the front subframe, this was the only solid part, in the front section.

Boot floor & rear seat pan all finished.
the heel board, was 100% OK , but it had been repaird before.
That was a real nice job, it had been gas welded, edge to edge,
using 1.2mm plate, so that will stay forever

It was now the second week, and all rust was fixed in the rear end.
Now it was time for the front end

and it didnt stop there
wish those panels were a little bigger.

ooops, where did all that metal go...
You must have wondered at that point was it all worth it, thats in a shocking state. Keep the photo's coming.

No, I never had any doubt, many friends who saw it in the garage, all suggested a BMH body,
but that was never an option for me, it had to be THE car = its original body .

Dont know about you guys, but sometimes things just get put up (sometimes too long)
When I found the car 12 years ago, was the key missing for the glovebox lock.
Today I (finally
) got a new one made .

Hang on - don't confuse me, when you say "Today" do you mean in 2012 or 2007? If you mean 2012, I think you should be waiting another 5 years to tell us.

Thanks , and yes we thought a little about how to do it ?, and decided to start from the back, and work our way up towards the front bumper.
The guy has done all my Mini,s and a few for himself
He once built a completely desamed Mini, with Turbo, more than 18 years ago.
This imbarressed the sheit, out of a Maserati bi Turbo once

a mate of mine had one, i swear you could hear it rusting! - it broke down all the time and he spent a fortune on it just keeping it going, in the end he gave up and got rid

these cars were NOT known, for their superior quality
and VERY expensive to repair
Funny info, the guy who had it converted at JanSpeed, now drives a Maserati.
But dont worry, he also drives British
= Range Rover Vouge HSE .
LH side A pillar / doorpost now completed.
time to see if the door I bought, would fit ?
very happy with the result, so now it was time to turn her around, and attack the RH side.

Car now turned around, and RHS attacked
First A panel was cut off.
Then these "nice" repairs turned up
no wonder the roof, flexed when you opened the doors.
This was part of a previus innerwing repair
cut to fit up against the airvent, and glued in place with loads of epoxy / filler, and what they had

It never ceases to amaze me the innovative repairs that are carried out on Minis.
That particular area is prone to serious rusting so it's no wonder the roof was flexing.
