Well I wait and hope that the buyer makes contact , ill jump in the van and drive straight down from
Newcastle.
I still have history for KPO and remember going to buy it with my late Dad for £120- I was 14 and tortured him far days to buy it.
It was certainly re shelled in my ownership but I can't say if its the same car until I see details that don't want to disclose.

There's alot more to this story than meets the eye but safe to say that if anyone's thinking of making a swoop for them at a bargain price they will need a bloody good lawyer as the seller doesn't legally own them.
The story of there being 'another KPO' (the race car) is just a red herring, it was the owner of the actual car's decision to slap it on his race car for one particular Goodwood race some years ago.

Calm down dear it's only an Ebay advert.
Just to clarify (again !), those cars were not intentionally misrepresented, there's no duplicate car and never was. That car is 454 KPO and always has been, the other is a bitza. The main problem with that Ebay auction was that the bloke selling them didn't legally own them to sell in the first place , just a slight oversight which when pointed out went down like a fart in a space suit.

That's one of Mike Lempert's wheels, he used to post on the old forum sometimes, he does a superb job of restoring them.

I was at a Mini specialists yesterday, he'd just come off the phone to a customer who was at the yard where the mini's were trying to buy them when the real owner turned up and was calling the police.

If the owner of those cars hadn't been made aware of that Ebay auction and turned up just in time on Monday those cars would have been away no doubt. Despite clear advice to leave them alone the seller smelt a quick buck and carried on trying desperately to flog 'em 'off Ebay' to all and sundry, even a few lurkers off here.

I'm sure all will be revealed by KPO's new/old owner in good time.
