Cheap? Crikey, they were practically giving it away at a grand. Here is the cached version for those that missed the link before it was sold. Not sure how long it will last but OK at the mo:

Possibly I suppose, but I got the impression it was a genuine advert by someone who simply didn't know the true value of a Mk1 in any condition.

Mark, you're just too cynical :o

Pot and Black.......

There ARE still a few people out there who don't know the value of things, especially in rural East Anglia. Getting fewer though, I'd admit.

Totally right Andrew there's still bargains to be had in the less populated areas ( where we live ) due to people's lack of knowledge and they just want rid .
It's quite unbelievable the stuff I've collected locally in Norfolk over the last year and it still seems to keep turning up :D

Not ebay, just som ads from main selling site here in Sweden:
Mk2 Estate at say roughly £4k:
https://www.blocket.se/skaraborg/Mini_1 ... a=23_7&w=3
GOOGLE   translated:
Fresh Mot.. Since it's 48 years old, it's free to visit next year in 2 years. Full and nice at the bottom.
Very expensive. Refurbished peak.
It is a 1275cc engine with trimmed camshaft.
Goes well in engine and box.
Good usage condition. Ex parts are included.
This is a genuine combi last year model.
At interest ring.

Another Mk2 estate:
Austin mini countryman / traveler Mk 2 year of manufacture 1968, 1275 engine, bored to
1293. Very nice engine, no problem keeping the same traffic rhythm like
Modern cars. Disc brakes front.
Lowered suspension. Towing hook!
Front seats replaced for more comfort, bad original chairs included.
Mot'd last year.
Minilight aluminum wheels with nice Yokohama A008 tires.
Older English mc may be exchanged.

Sold to the highest bidder,
