I know classics can sit around a while but he's got 'plenty' across that one.
Never restored is a bit of a fib, didn't Tim help put it back together?!

I think someone has pinched the 5th gear.....Looks like a four speed to me. Could be the most expensive Jack Knight four speed in history

That 5 speed is a ludicrous price!
£5,000 for a 5 speed bow with no prospect of any spares availability ever!

Why would anyone buy that gearbox at that price when a new minispares one is about 2 grand ? . There's also someone on eBay trying to sell a old right hand tank for £450 ... why ,, when you can buy a new minispares one for just over £300 with a bit of discount ... ken

Does it look to have had valve seats fitted?
Looks to have more meat between the valves than usual?

that's a bargain, shame the inlet manifolds are missing - it would be a major undertaking to get a pair made as they are a work of art.

Crikey I thought my car was a bit of a shed, but although it looks OK this really is quite a mash up. Sellers address is a wheeze too - Del Boy? :

I reckon that's a mid-1960s car which has been log-booked to get the original 1960 registration off it.
Anyone ever heard of converting a 1960 car to hydrolastic before
.
I bet all the glass and Lucas parts date it a few years later.
