The Elf/Wolseley part can't be genuine. I thought they all came from the factory rusted.

That looks like an S engine pictured...not a GT as advertised. ( unless GT had tappet covers ...but don't think so)

Not many of these about these days (probably for very good reason).
Love the period silicone hose conversion using blue insulting tape!

Jeez - someone actually claims to have 'designed' that?
Is it not just a random collection of scrap yard parts, household plumbing and old biscuit tins?

that's been on ebay for yonks
you would think that even the most 'hopeful' ebay seller would eventually realise that putting a turd like that up with a more realistic starting price might actually result in a sale.....
like about 500 quid (even that would be pushing it a bit!)

Seems alot to pay for an old engine number plate. With the mega values of Ss nowadays it does make you wonder what it'll be used for.

Since when did a 970 S have a "22G68" gearbox? - It didn't.
You can buy a brand new Swiftune Dog Kit for £1800 so I'd love to know how anyone could spend over £2600 on a very run of the mill second hand straight cut 3 synchro box with an unknown LSD in it.
I like the way he "brags" about how much it cost him, and describes it as "as new remanufactured", but then states "Sold as seen".
Some people are just stupid!

I fairness to the lister, he doesn't actually say it is from a 970S, just that it was built for a 970S engine.
