This is a Transporter, definitely not Historic, of course the nine Minis are. This is from the OzMini 50th at Wakefield Park 06/03/2011.

I think you should have one of these on stand-by for those days when you run out of fuel and chuck your car in a ditch

I haven't driven into a ditch for nearly a year (funnily enough I drove past 'the ditch' only today  )

running out of petrol though, that's a different story.........................

Your not joking.

When everyone went bike racing with a Ford Thames my dad had one of these with some sort of 6 cylinder engine in it, apparently it was pretty quick off the lights in second....

that's a beauty. im a massive perv for both Bedford coach platforms and plaxton panorama coachwork.

its a shame they built it on a SB as the front wheels are too far forwards, if they done it on a VAM or even better, a 6 wheel VAL it would have looked much better

I wonder how many of the originals met their fates under low bridges - the glass bulb does look a bit fragile

A couple of long ramps and what amounts to a furniture removal truck, the Vita Buick gets stuffed into the back...

One of our club members has just rescued on of these ( a real one  ) from a previous life as a camper trailer; its an ex - BMC Oz dealer training vehicle . He's currently getting his truck licence prior to commencing a rebuild.

The plan is to use it to transport his group N racer....

Cheers, Ian

It ended up at JD Classics for sale for quite a while and now is being restored by a new owner in the South West. :)
