I certainly had a fairly instant spin when my rear tyre went down at Cadwell in 2011. It was fine going through the Gooseneck but spun me round at the bottom of the hill 100 yards later. The following Imp missed me by inches. Such is life.
I'm waiting to hear what they found on the car

Laurent Majou went wide out of Druids and got on the grass. Apparently his offside front wheel dug in and sent him into the opposite barrier.

If you look at my footage at 14.15 , rumble strip ; yes , grass ; no either this or previous lap

this couldn't happen, the grass down the outside of there is reinforced with mesh (for about 20 feet) and very smooth, so if you do go wide at druids, you can keep the power on and get back onto the track long before the rumble strip runs out, in the miglia race, some of them where using a good length of that grass as part of the track!
in tims vid, you can see that he barely touches the kerb, so I think, thanks to the csi skills of surfblue and his editing software, a rear puncture is the most likely cause

No special skills to come up with my theory, I just slowed down the film and used the snipping tool on Windows 7 to get the stills.
It thanks to Tim and his Go-Pro that we can see how the car left the track.
As David Frost used to say "The clues are there as we go through the......"
Here's the start and half of the second lap from Roger Phillips car, anyone want to own up for almost pushing him of at Graham Hill?

Or the date it was posted.
I saw Tims car to the right and on Tims footage Roger comes up on the left, so I put two and two together and came up with five.

I recorded it. Watch the first race which was really good. Brian Johnson was lucky on that save not to hit anyone, after that new mini race started and for some reason my sky plus stopped recording it. so I have to catch it when it's on again.
But what I saw was great. I was there on the Sunday..

Hi All
I was racing in the Mini Festival in the Historics and recorded all three races in car (Number 88). Lots of boring stuff, but the odd bit worth seeing, two trips in to the gravel and especially how not to go quick in the wet! Link below to my YouTube Channel.

I can see that several people have been digging in the parts box for those odd length suspension bits
