Yep I believe so.
Originally BMC farmed out a lot of the pressing for the Mini hence the extra makers tag.

Intersting, I've not seen one of those on a Mini before, only on a Morris van.

It would seem it's been quite a while since I last updated this so I figured I should probably share some more pictures.
The front end is all nicely lined up and welded on now.
The original Crayford bracing has also been reinstated and the temporary bracing removed.

I admire everything done up til now about this resto. It's flawless. I always have to wonder about what happens when you take the roof off a car that was designed to have one,no matter how well the bracing gets done.
I was lucky enough to sample a 911sc in coupe and drop top form and the scuttle shake was very noticeable.Just saying.
If the mighty Porsche couldn't get it right in development ...
Put me right please cos I want to believe !!

I don't think this could go quick enough to induce scuttle shake! And if it could I can't see the owner driving it that hard

The bracing certainly isn't as comprehensive as the more modern Lamm convertibles but it seems to have held together for the past 50 years. The bracing is still very strong and I can't see shaking the too much.

Thanks Nick, it should be a lovely piece when it's done.

You're probably onto something there, I doubt the 850's going to be lighting up the tyres.
I don't think the Donkey was actually in the car, it probably couldn't take the weight!

Nice attention to detail. I didn't even realise that the indicator plinths were that different. That's another Mini thing I've learnt today.

Coming together well - love the attention to detail for all those minute details so easy to ignore. Top job.

Brilliant work with that one.
Fills me with hope for my 61
I was hoping to see the original front floor pressing shape recreated to help inspire me with reprofiling the M-Machine part floors I'm going to use for my old girl.
