Vegard,

have you ever seen these shiny patches in the push rod bores where the 998 push rods have bent out so fat that they rubbed against the bore ?

I beleive the 70ties trick was to use modified Anglia push rods, these days the solution is to go for these carbon fibre custom made push rods.

A buffer can be purchased from Swift. ( expensive but smart done ). The pushrods are standard 850. The rockers are std. S and can be bought at MiniSpares. They also have a ARP type nut in stailess steel so you can use a 3/8 spanner. The pillars are std. S. The thumb role is that when everything is fitted see to the rocker is lower where the hammer hits the valveshaft compared to what is is nearest the rocker shaft.
