This is a nice piece of AKY's history! With the first logbook signature being Works Rally Car driver Tony Fall (Richard Anthony Fall) who sadly passed away in Dec 2007. Circuit of Ireland winner in 1966 in DJB 92B. I don't think AKY will win any rallies here in Ireland. But one thing is for sure it will be up the Dublin/Wicklow mountain roads for a good test in April. :)

Thats one COOL signature to have on your cars V5 8-) 8-) 8-)

have a different question, regarding the plastic washer tubes.

Does anyone inhere know, if these are coloured by age, or is it the fluids that makes them go Green ?

I cant remember seeing other (non BMC) cars, that had washer tubes turning Green .

think it looks best when the originals are refitted = more genuine / authentic in some way.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 8-)

Jens, the tubes were originally green.

Just picked up AKY from Tony yesterday. Photo taken waiting for the ferry in Holyhead. Got to get oil pressure up know and start the old girl and then finish off the detail in time for bulee. :)

Looking fantastic Nev! I knew AKY would be back on the road at some point. You've done her proud!!

I think I've just bagged myself a '61' Austin Seven!!

Very nice, great to see it resurrected.

I'll show the pics to a pal who owned the car some time ago, before Nick. It's the only one he regrets selling as surf blue is hs favourite colour.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Steve I will have the car in bulee this year, so tell your pal he is more than welcome to pop down and get behind the wheel of AKY again.

Would be cool to get a photo with your pal, Nick, Tim and myself with AKY in bulee!

Cheers

That is a fantastic idea Nev! I can't wait to see AKY in the metal. My new car which is a Tartan Red '61' Austin Seven will be at Bulee next year and this year i will be cheating in a BMW Cooper Clubman......although it is a nice car!!!
