What method (vacuum bag or heavy weights) and type of glue did you stick the veneer to the dash. I have a Rookie for my GT and some walnut to put on it and have been looking at the various methods suggested on the interweb. Yours looks good and was just wondering.

Stuart
Stu, the glue is called "titebond cold press veneer glue".

Thanks Andy, I'll have a look on the interweb for it.

Pete has taken a bit of a break from welding to start work building his new house, although he has welded on the rear n/s quarter and done some head scratching on what panels to replace on the front end, the inner wings are in a bit of a state.

On other progress the restored seat belts arrived this morning from FDTS, might be a bit bling for some people but I'm really happy with them, sort of fit with where I'm going with the burr bash.

they look good ....I once had some britax inertia done but the webbing was narrower and that made them look odd

I received some progress photos from Pete yesterday, I hadn't heard much from him while he was working on the groundworks for his new house. He has spent quite a few hours on this side of the car but hopefully the other side will be easier as its getting a full inner wing.

I've been mainly concentrating on the Cox resto but had a bit of spare cash before Christmas so sent some bits off for chrome plating and a shed load of bits for powdercoating including the petrol tank, subframes, heater etc. So plenty to keep me busy.

Other bits on the go at the moment are another engine block that needs to go for dipping with the suspension arms, then reboring and cam bearing, I wasn't happy with the first engine block I'd had done. Keith Calver is doing some minor port/chamber work on the Speedwell head.

Looking at that inner wing it makes me think I should have sand blasted the shell before it went up to Petes.

When I look at some of the other projects in this forum I feel very guilty even calling mine a project.

Amazing work being done to save this one. Keep after it!

A dummy fit of the front end before welding in the inner wing, starting to look more like a Mini...

Next on the list, scuttle, A-panels and door gaps.
