Yeah big Shame about the race being cut short, rather annoying cause now I’m still watching the YouTube link and some t..t is doing donuts in a NASCAR car and got stuck, what a waste of coverage
Well done Mark .... you did yourself proud !
Just waiting for the last race with anticipation

Well the Sears Cup lived up to expectations with a 4 way Cortina dice. Shame about the Bob Jane Bathurst car taking a tumble. Hopefully next year spring will come early!!!!

Shame about the SC again as Swifty was in third before that came out and looked to be nibbling away at the lead of the two ‘tinas in front of him....

The weather has dampened the event with many cars not running, the bikes being cancelled and the racing being a bit processional. Hopefully the Sears Cup will have a bit of action.
Your right about the cold I’ve never been so cold..
However when I left the hotel this morning and cleared 2 inches of snow off the car I didn’t think for one minute we would be racing. I think goodwood and the teems did an extremely good job keeping the circuit running. All the tickets are presold so they had nothing to loose stopping the event.
The racing may not have been normal speed but there were some very brave people to still be out there..

Despite the weather there were some outstanding drives, Huffy's stint in the Jag was highly entertaining, Sopey's and Sumpter's battle in the Tinas buy yes the safety car presence pretty much ruined both saloon races today. I was surprised how easily Lewis got dropped by Swifty when the SC came in. I think had Chris Middlehurst not been squeezed onto the grass and wrecked his qualy he'd have been in the top six today. he did well to overhaul Hunt's rapid Mini. Mark Burnett did well in what little there was of the Gerry Marshall Trophy. Its hard to knock any of the marshals out there today but it took a lifetime to shift that Rover SD1, why couldn't they just tow it to the infield?? Wrecked the race but hey ho that's the way it goes... Chris Ward, who normally excells, didn't seem to have the right cars this year! Not a classic year was it, but at least it went ahead at all!

Cold cold cold, did we all mention it was cold ?, pity the two SC's were in the races 'we' wanted to watch, pity the car park was so churned up by the end of the day (note to Goodwood, open the gates at the bottom of the fields as well in these circumstances to stop all the cars churning up to the top) but saying that it was a great day out, the Fruit of the loom BMW on the second GRP 5 demo looked like it was at race speeds, nice doughnut at the end followed by a BB512 Ferrari trying the same and nearly crashing into the gate marshals
, great dice between the two e-types and the Ferrari 'bread van' at the start of the Moss trophy. Well done to everyone that raced / marshalled / organised / worked / spectated, did I say it was cold ?

I was standing on Madgwick yesterday - Just got the feeling back in my toes
that recovery really ruined what was going to be the best race of the day - like Pete says why can't they just drag it onto the infield? after 10 mins and they finally got it on the recovery truck - it then drove all the way round the circuit!
If they cant do that then maybe should cut some time out of the later demonstrations and reinstate the clock - 6 mins wasn't enough to make a race.

Huge credit to Goodwood for keeping the show on the road, but the cold definitely made the weekend memorable for the wrong reasons! Having our flight home cancelled on Sunday evening didn't help either!
Definitely spent more time indoors than I would have liked and the SC really killed the excitement for the saloon car races on Sunday, but there were some great scenes to be enjoyed. The 2 Vincent Gaye Ferraris were sublime...standing behind the F5000s in the assembly area for the Minute of Noise...watching the Fruit of The Loom Grp 5 E21 being thrashed around...and, of course, the Mini action on track!
Will share some photos shortly.

Thanks to all who came along and said hi (you brave souls) and to all those that offered support and cheered from the stands and sofas!
It goes without saying that I had a great weekend, to place the car where we did in the conditions and against 'the pros' was an achievement for me that I'll remember for a long time.
A big shame about the safety car in the Gerry Marshal Sprint - frustrating, but that's racing!
Onwards to the next thing....
