I've not seen Vita described as BVR before, the firm was latterly BVRT (formerly BRT) which stood for Barham-Varley-Ratcliffe & Taylor.

Its Tony Gilbertsons in New Zealand in 1966. He imported it from Neville and Geoff Thomas as a shell. Beautiful car which I tried to find here for about 30 years! I first rang Tony (still around) about it in 1985!

It was really fast too - he still has the letters from Daniel Richmond about tuning it. I bought an 8 port engined Minisprint off Tony - but that was a later NZ built one.

I think the fact that its in a later mk3 shell and has had too much taken out of the roof tells you that its a home built car

Had the image for ages but only spotted the 'Sprint this morning! Car behind it looks like an early Mk3 so it could be a '70s brochure.

It's pre 1983. K. Hattori & Co LTD changed their name to Hattori Seiko Co LTD in 1983.

There is a blue Sprint like that in one of those cool Japanese Neko Mini picture books from the late 70's. They show it being restored in one of the books (1978?) and I think completed in the next one.
