I have never seen one before Nick. That is a cracking spot!

I remember seeing those being sold at a garage on the A428 Crick to Northampton Road many, many years ago, quite a few of the accessory manufacturers were still based in Northampton back then so it most likely from comes there.

Over engineered or what...........! Can I presume that if you fitted it for real that it'd crush the trim strip around the pocket in very short order?

no it is designed to fit perfect over the chrome moulding but only clamps on the lower lip, ive tightened it down and it clears the moulding. its actually very well made imo
