Shackleton drove a blinder didn't he until the tank slapper. Hope he's OK, I've asked David.
Shame they did get a Cooper/S for the McLaren tribute, though the 'wing van' looked good, here's the original..

He did look pretty cross with himself didn't he....
Taken out by such a youngster too. Now there's someone to watch out for in the future eh?

George was lucky to be able to walk from that, very big hit. Neck ache will be the limit of his worries this afternoon. Great drive, had his right arm under the belly of the Cooper on hard corners.

I think he'll be a bit sore tomorrow poor fella. A great race though. Wife's out today so I'm going to settle meself down with some bread & dripping and a mug of tea ready for the St Mary's
.
I must say the live streaming is a brilliant idea - a good second to being there isn't it!

The Swifty / Fiorani battle was epic, one of the best Swifty's had at Goodwood. Theo was lapped three times?

Theo might've been there on the basis of having written a big cheque rather than his driving ability

Swifty provided virtually all the action, so lots of Mini coverage in favour of the leaders.
Great stuff. Roll on 2017 then, when I may actually make it.

Hopefully they will show the races on Motors TV (channel 447 on SKY) in one of the many shows that are scheduled this week.

A couple of pictures from the weekend, at the bottom, unrestored LHD S, rather rich on the price front at £39,995, surprised to see quite a 'thickness' to the wing on this racer, below one for sale at Bonhams, early non window recess shell despite the S badges

The Cherry Red racer is Mark's old car and the tired S used to be young Will's!

I thought the 'Broadspeed S's number looked familiar, I'm sure it wasn't cheap though

I've been following the Revival weekend online. I had hoped to attend this year as I missed the last 2 Revivals, but circumstances didn't allow it for another year. Gutted, as it looked like another excellent event.
Fingers crossed next year I'll be there and intend to drive the 1200 miles round trip with the (hopefully finished) Cooper S Traveller
