Yes, Old English White takes some beating on a Mk1 I reckon. Very easy on the eye and easy to work with.

As i previously said this is not gonna be a trailer queen or concourse car, just wanted a bit of paint throwing at it !, so im very happy so far, the bodyshop (Parkers Cars, Kendal) have done a cracking job, from the very small budget they had to work with, on refelection i could have done a few other bits and bobs in the 1960 detailing on the shell (front panel, boot and floor repairs) but thats not what the cars about, its going to be a 1960 Morris Mini Minor with a 1275 unit in it and some nice suspension, SD Cage and couple of nice comp seats, and thats about it !

Excellent! It is very easy to get too precious about these cars as their values rise. A shame really as it should be all about having fun in them and simply ENJOYING them

Thank you
, and I cant emphasize enough that's what this "build" is all about, me having fun !, ive really enjoyed the process so far, brings back all the memories of me messing with Minis 30 odd years ago, this forum and Blyton has really inspired me to get off my arse and build another Mini, beats watch "cori" and Eastenders !, and now the fun of bolting all the bits on can start, I only went looking for a clean Mk1 to bolt some nice bits on but the project has escalated abit

Going back in to have the doors fitted once its on 4 wheels, i haven't got room in the garage to open them and work on it !, Rich's order landed today, so lots to bolt on in the coming weeks, ive recon'd most of the other bits and pieces now, just the engine to finalize really, i've bought a 1275 unit, just down to budget what i can do with it !

Looks the business. I'll bet you're looking forward to bolting it back together.
